When Anar and i started this project...we honestly placed our energy out into the
universe and asked our life long dream be fulfilled.
Fulfilment of our dreams was not monetary..they are expressed with the purest intention of learning about our 'God', ourselves, our responsiblities in this world...and our talents.
During these years, Anar and I have faced countless challenges, unforgetable-exhausting tasks and frustration of attempt at perfection...we soon realized we were learning and would continue to learn for the duration of our lifetime. Our understanding of this project is NOT perfection...it is growth....
As the artist i have had numerous opportunities to spread the sounds, the lyrics and the vibe, we call Indian soul, around the world.
My most recent travels included Papua new Guinea. What an amazing experience. Epiphanies surrounded us. The children, despite their poverty, were filled with light, filled with laughter and spirit. They understood that life was filled with gifts.
I learned more than i anticipated...by just sitting back and watching...the world in a few days..made complete sense to me...we are here in this universe...dealt various cards...but we all are collected together by the spirit of music...Music surpasses all limitations, all boundaries,...all color...all creed...all religion...It unites us in unison and finds laughter, devotion, expression and ecstasy.
PNG was glorious land. Surrounded by water, trees, fresh mangoes, fresh air and incredible sunsets that lasted what felt like hours. The people are filled with courage and the children are filled with wisdom surpassing their youth. They are surrounded by hunger, drugs, repression, racism, illiteracy and violence. Yet, they don't express this as their indentity. They embrace themselves as children of God, they welcome everyone with smiles and a sweet touch. They immediately come to be your equal and want to teach as much as they want to learn. The energy and spiritual exchange is undeniable.
I hope through our journey, we can gain and share our understanding of our spiritual
and material balance, our connection with our God, our love and devotion to our
universe and our undeniable search for light.
